It is with mixed emotions and gratitude that I submit my resignation as Executive Director of Outreach for Hope. I have accepted a new position as Senior Planning Giving Advisor at Luther Seminary beginning June 1.
For the relatively short time I have been with you, I have seen God’s hand in the leading of Outreach for Hope. I have witnessed your passion, inspired generosity and courageous volunteerism that has been the hallmark of Outreach for Hope. Your generosity touches over 7,000 brothers and sisters weekly throughout the Synod. God is present in the ministries that Outreach for Hope supports and so are you.
Momentum is growing at Outreach for Hope – new donors, committed Board members, and engaged volunteers have joined us, and a third Bike Ride location is likely to happen this fall – in Racine/Kenosha. You make this all happen and with your enthusiasm and commitment this year, it will happen. I am confident that the Bishop, Board, staff, volunteers, and you will continue to carry that momentum forward over the next several months as they search for a new Executive Director.
My hope is that God will continue to bless Outreach for Hope with continued growth as we expand God’s love and hope throughout the Synod.
Blessings for the journey ahead,
