As we begin to prepare for that time-honored tradition of celebrating the best football teams of the year at the Super Bowl, we’d like to ask you to join another Super Bowl tradition: sharing the gift of food with people in your community who are hungry.

On any given day throughout our year, over 40,000 people in Milwaukee County alone go hungry. That’s enough people to fill American Family Field! Would you consider sharing food with those who aren’t able to feed their families this winter?

Here’s how you can help:

  • OPTION 1: DONATE FOOD
Choose one or more of our participating Ministry Partners from the list on our website. The list also includes details like most needed food items, drop off address and schedule, and contact information.

Collect food items on your own or in a coordinated drive with your congregation or others in your community. Then, contact your chosen Ministry Partner(s) to arrange delivery of your donations leading up to Super Bowl Sunday, February 13 (if you have a large amount of a single item, please consider splitting your donation betwen several ministries). Please take photos and/or videos, and share them with us at robyn@outreachforhope.org.

PLEASE NOTE: OFH will not be picking up and transporting donations this year. We hope this will encourage congregations to go see these transformative ministries in action, and form partnerships across our synod that will last for years to come!

  • OPTION 2: DONATE FUNDS
If you’re not able to purchase and deliver food to one or more of our Ministry Partners, consider making a monetary donation to our 2022 Super Bowl Food Drive leading up to Super Bowl Sunday, February 13. 100% of your donation will be shared with our Ministry Partners, so they can purchase the exact food items that will serve their clients best.

As siblings in Christ, we know the importance of caring for one another. We pray that we will all embrace this opportunity to work together as a synod to share with those who don’t have enough food today.

And may all God’s people say “AMEN!” … and be blessed with enough.
