25 years ago, Chris played an important role in the formation of Outreach for Hope. Chris was serving on our advisory committee at the time of his death.
His business acumen provided guidance to Outreach for Hope on numerous levels throughout the years. Chris’ generosity with his time and financial support, inspired many others to become supporters of Outreach for Hope.
“[Chris’] support and involvement provided this foundational ministry for the work among people on the margins that has been integral to the very identity of the Greater Milwaukee Synod from the beginning,” said Rev. Peter Rogness, Bishop of the Greater Milwaukee Synod from 1988 to 2002.
“In the early years of my tenure at [Outreach for Hope], I invited Chris to serve on the Outreach for Hope Advisory Committee, to which he gladly consented,” commented Rev. Jim Bickel, who served as Executive Director from 2009 to 2017. “I valued his vast experience serving on non-profit boards and committees, and turned to him often for guidance. Outreach for Hope was blessed by his commitment, and I was blessed by our friendship.”
His leadership will be greatly missed.
